Oh Come, All
Ye Faithful
O come,
all ye faithful,
Joyful and triumphant,
O come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem;
Come and behold him,
Born the King of angels;
O come, let us adore him,
O come, let us adore him,
O Come, let us adore him, Christ the Lord.
God of
God,
Light of Light,
Lo! he abhors not the Virgin's womb:
Very God,
Begotten, not created; Refrain
Sing,
choirs of angels,
Sing in exultation,
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above;
Glory to God
In the highest; Refrain
See how
the shepherds,
Summoned to his cradle,
Leaving their flocks, draw nigh to gaze;
We too will thither
Bend our joyful footsteps; Refrain
Child,
for us sinners
Poor and in the manger,
We would embrace thee, with love and awe;
Who would not live thee,
Loving us so dearly? Refrain
Yea,
Lord, we greet thee,
Born this happy morning;
Jesus, to thee be glory given;
Word of the Father,
Now in flesh appearing; Refrain

The
Birth of Jesus Foretold
26In the sixth month, God sent the angel
Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, 27to
a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph,
a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. 28The
angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who
are highly favored! The Lord is with you."
29Mary was greatly troubled at his words
and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30But
the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary,
you have found favor with God. 31You will
be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to
give him the name Jesus. 32He will be
great and will be called the Son of the Most High.
The Lord God will give him the throne of his father
David, 33and he will reign over the house
of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."
34"How will this be," Mary asked
the angel, "since I am a virgin?"
35The angel answered, "The Holy
Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most
High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born
will be called[3] the Son of
God.

Why
Not? Get a group of friends together and go Christmas
caroling around your neighborhood or to a local nursing
home. You could get a list from your church of housebound
members and visit them!
Don't
forget to close each evening with prayer :)
