It's Saturday!
Begin by lighting the first
purple candle on the wreath. Be sure and light the same
candle as you did last evening.
Christmas
Carol:
The
First Noel
The
first Noel the angel did say
Was to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;
In fields as they lay, keeping their sheep,
On a cold winter's night that was so deep.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,
Born is the King of Israel.
They
looked up and saw a star
Shining in the east beyond them far,
And to the earth it gave great light,
And so it continued both day and night. Refrain
And by
the light of that same star
Three wise men came from country far;
To seek for a king was their intent,
And to follow the star wherever it went. Refrain
This
star drew nigh to the northwest,
O'er Bethlehem it took it rest,
And there it did both stop and stay
Right over the place where Jesus lay. Refrain
Then
entered in those wise men three
Full reverently upon their knee,
And offered there in his presence
Their gold, and myrrh, and frakincense. Refrain
Then
let us all with one accord
Sing praises to our heavenly Lord;
That hath made heaven and earth of naught,
And with his blood mankind hath bought. Refrain
Bible
Reading:
Psalm
89
A maskil of Ethan the Ezrahite. [1]
1 I will sing of the LORD's great love
forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness
known through all generations. 2 I will
declare that your love stands firm forever, that you
established your faithfulness in heaven itself. 3
You said, "I have made a covenant with my chosen
one, I have sworn to David my servant, 4
'I will establish your line forever and make your
throne firm through all generations.' " Selah

Do you know some people who might be lonely this season?
Why not share your creations with them and brighten their
holidays. You could get together with a group of friends
and visit nursing homes or hospitals. It's the little
gestures of kindness that make a difference! Light your
world this Christmas season! Close this evening's
activities with prayer.
