The Fruit of the Spirit!
A Printable Booklet

A Season of
Change

It
is the time of year that most homeschoolers start back to school. Fall is just
around the corner and arrives on September 22, 2014. Maybe you are happy about
your “school” starting back or maybe you are sad to say goodbye to summer. Fall
is a season of change and a time to get reorganized and prepared for the season
ahead. It is very important to prepare your mind and heart for the challenges
that the new school year might have for you. Try to remember the “Fruits of the Spirit” when preparing your heart and mind
for the school year ahead.

Daniel 2:21 New International Version (NIV)

He changes
times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the
wise and knowledge to the discerning.

“Back
to School” For Homeschoolers is of course a little different than heading back
to a classroom. The great thing about being a homeschooler is that you are
always learning about God’s wonderful world regardless of the season. But many
homeschoolers do take a little break in the summer and fall is the beginning of
their new school year.

The Last Days of Summer

Devotions For Kids

The Last Days of Summer

Proverbs 6:8  ”yet it stores its provisions in summer and
gathers its food at harvest. “
Devotions for Kids

Labor Day is over and Fall is a few weeks away. Soon the leaves will change color and there will be a coolness in the air. The farmers will harvest the crops that they planted back in the spring.

God created trees when He created the world and He designed them to change colors in the Fall. When you see a beautiful fall tree, do you think about God? The trees blaze with bold colors in the Fall and show us the power of our creator. A tree changes colors because God designed it that way. Everyone who sees the beauty of God’s Fall creations can see the beauty of God.

If you were a tree, what would be the colors of your leaves? Would you shine boldly and would others be able to see Jesus through your colors? The Bible tells in Matthew that believers in Jesus will be known by their fruit.

Matthew 7:9 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

Can others see Jesus in you? What fruit are you growing? When the farmers go out to harvest their crops, they will harvest exactly what they planted. A farmer who planted tomato seeds will not harvest a pumpkin!  It is important that we plant good seeds – we need to study our Bibles and learn everything we can about Jesus. If we plant good seeds, then we will grow good fruit in our lives.

God gave us the Four Seasons

God designed the trees to change colors

We will be known by the fruits we grow

Good seeds grow good fruit

I want others to see Jesus in me

Today, I will read my Bible. I will plant good seeds in my life so that I will grow good fruit. I will pray and ask God to help me grow strong in my relationship with Him.

In the Beginning

Devotions For Kids

In The Beginning

Genesis 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Beginnings are always exciting and fun. Whether it is the beginning of your school year, the beginning of our Kids Magazine or the beginning of the world, beginnings are EXCITING!

The very first verse of the Bible talks about the greatest BEGINNING that ever happened. Genesis 1:1 tells us that God created the heavens and the earth. From the beginning of time, God has been thinking of us and planning for us. God created this world and God created YOU! From the beginning, God has loved you and he made you special and unique.

Psalm 139:14 – “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

God has been thinking about YOU from the beginning of the world – even before you were born! God has a plan and a purpose for your life. Isn’t it amazing to think that the creator of the entire universe is thinking about YOU! God loves you so much!

For many homeschoolers, September is the beginning of their “school year” and the perfect time to start fresh. If last year, you struggled with your studies or your relationship with your family, this year can be different! A good practice is to start each day by reading the Bible and praying to God. Ask God each morning to help you try your best and to be patient, kind and loving to your family.

God has a plan for your life and believe it or not, it starts now :-) Start asking God every single day to guide you and help you decide what you want to be when you grow up to be an adult. God made you unique and he gave you special gifts and talents. God wants you to use these gifts and talents and He will help guide you as you grow.

Devotion For Kids

Today is a new BEGINNING!

God was thinking of ME from the BEGINNING of the world!

God made me unique and special!

God has a plan for MY LIFE!

Today, I will read my Bible and pray to God for His help and guidance – Thank you God for loving me and for sending me your Son Jesus!
