Thanksgiving Place Mat

What you need:
White & Black Construction Paper
Tempera paint: Orange, Red, Brown, Gold, Etc.
Fall Leaves
Contact Paper

Instructions:
Step 1: Using your paint and brushes, swirl differnt colors together on a piece of white construction paper. You need to COMPLETELY cover the white paper with paint.
Step 2. On your black paper, trace around leaves in a pretty pattern.
Step 3. Remove the leaves and cut out the shapes.
Step 4. Glue the black paper on top of the white paper so that the colored paint shows through the leaf cut outs.
Step 5. Add a pretty border around your placemat. You can do this by cutting out shapes of construction paper and gluing around the edges. Be creative!
Step 2. Put clear contact over your creation to protect and create your placemat.

Great Idea

You can cut out any shapes you want on your black paper. (Pumpkins, corn, turkeys, etc.)
Adjust the colors you use on your white paper accordingly.
