Brownies In A Jar

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/4 cups white sugar
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Directions: Mix together flour, baking powder, and salt in a quart jar. Layer remaining ingredients in the order listed. Press each layer firmly in place before adding the next layer. NOTE: Be sure to wipe out the inside of the jar with a dry paper towel after adding the cocoa powder, so the other layers will show through the glass. Attach a tag with the following instructions: Brownie Mix in a Jar 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13inch baking pan. 2. Empty jar of brownie mix into a large mixing bowl, and stir to blend. Mix in 3/4 cup melted butter and 4 eggs. Mix thoroughly. Spread batter evenly into prepared baking pan. 3. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes in preheated oven. Cool completely in pan before cutting into 2 inch squares.

M & M Cookie Mix In A Jar

Ingredients:
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cups mini baking M & Ms
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions: Combine the flour with baking soda and salt. In a clean 1 liter sized glass jar layer the ingredients in the order given, starting with the brown sugar and ending with the flour mixture. Attach a card with the following directions:M & M Cookies Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line one baking sheet with parchment paper. Empty the contents of the jar into a large bowl and mix until all the ingredients are well combined. Using your hands work in 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Beat 1 egg with 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Work this into the flour mixture until well combined. Dough will be a little crumbly. . Shape dough into 1 inch sized balls and place 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Slightly flatten the balls with the palm of your hand. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 10 to 14 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned. Remove cookies to a rack to cool. Makes about 2 dozen cookies.

Chocolate Cookies In A Jar

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions: Combine all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. In a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar, layer dark brown sugar, white sugar, cocoa, chopped pecans, and chocolate chips. Pack everything down firmly before you add flour mixture, it will be a snug fit. Attach a tag with the following instructions: Chocolate Cookie Mix in a Jar: 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) 2. Empty cookie mix into large bowl. Thoroughly blend mixture with hands. Mix in 3/4 cup softened butter or margarine, 1 egg, slightly beaten, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Shape into walnut size balls, and place 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking sheet. 3. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on baking sheet, then move to wire racks.

 






 

Rudy's Reindeer Food

Ingredients:
1/2 cup granola
5 chocolate chips
10 peanuts
15 M&M's
20 raisins

Directions: Measure 1/2 cup granola. Add : 5 chocolate chips, 10 peanuts, 15 M &M's and 20 raisins. Pour into decorative bag and tie with ribbon.

Decorative Tag: Attach this card to the reindeer feed bag. "It's the night before Christmas and all through the house, everyone has
eaten - even the mouse. You give Santa some cookies and a glass of milk too. Don't forget the reinder - please give them some food. Open this bag and sprinkle outside. Hop into bed - Santa is soon to arrive. Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night :)
